Cabinet secretary high-level meeting on asset monetization SHORTLY: Anil Singhvi says keep THIS stock in focus

The cabinet secretary will chair a high-level meeting on asset monetization on Thursday, June 17 at 11 am. Speaking on the topic Anil Singhvi, Managing Editor at Zee Business said that companies with big land bank will be in focus and lots of action can be seen in their share price due to the meeting.

Deepanshu Bhandari, Anchor and Head-Research at ZEE Business, said there is a focus on the divestment of companies and BEML Limited (previously Bharat Earth Movers Limited) has made a separate subsidy for land monetization.

"The way there is a focus on the divestment of several companies, we spoke to the management of BEML yesterday and they have created a separate subsidy for their land monetization. So BEML will definitely be in focus," Deepanshu said.

He added that the other companies to be in focus today can be BHEL, BPCL, Concor etc. He said there are many public sector companies, especially the one where divestment is a trigger, all their stocks will be in focus today because of the meeting.

Deepanshu said that BHEL has taken a provision of Rs 1900 crore so that focus can be made on the sale of assets.

Anil Singhvi added that there is no doubt that the government is moving towards asset monetization and said for today BEML should be the top agenda.
