In a bull market on Monday, two companies’ shares witnessed a change of hands — ASL Industries and UFO Moviez. The former saw maximum buzz with two individual investors and equity funds buying/selling shares during today’s session, while one individual investor bought UFO shares.

Individual investors such as Sonam Goyal and Sumedha Kataruka each sold 1,00,000 equity shares in ASL Industries at Rs 23.8 per share on the NSE, as per the bulk deals data.

Sunayana Investment Company Limited and Zuber Trading LLP each bought 1,00,000 equity shares in ASL Industries at Rs 23.68 and Rs 23.92 per share respectively on the NSE, as per the bulk deals data.

While another individual investor Vikram Kishorechandra Gajiwala bought 1,68,113 equity shares in UFO Moviez India Ltd at Rs 105.81 per share on the NSE, the bulk deals data showed.

A deal where the total quantity of shares bought or sold is greater than 0.5 per cent of the share capital of the company is termed a bulk deal. It can be transacted either through the normal trading window or through the block trading window.

The Indian stock market snapped a 3-day massive sell-off to eventually end positive on Monday, as Sensex surged over 800 points and Nifty closed above 17900-level. Metal, IT, private banks, auto, and pharma stocks lead the surge.

As many as 46 stocks advanced and 4 stocks were on a declining trend on the Nifty50 at the market close today. IndusInd Bank gains most by over 7.5 per cent, followed by Hindalco around 4.5 per cent, Bharti Airtel up 4 per cent. 

On the contrary, UPL continued to be a biggest laggard since the start of the today’s session, down around 3 per cent, followed by Bajaj Finserv and M&M each down around 1.5 per cent.
