Budget 2022 Stock Market Live: As Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presents her fourth budget, the domestic equity markets will be closely monitoring the announcements on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Snapping two days losing streak, the benchmarks ended nearly 1.5 per cent higher on Monday, a day ahead of the Budget 2022-23. As per Edelweiss Alternative Research, the Indian markets has briefly closed negative in 7 out 12 sessions on the Budget Day. Stock markets have always been volatile either before Budget or after Budget, says Amit Jain of Ashika Wealth Advisors. "If you observe the data for the last 10 years, seven years markets had fallen before the Budget and thrice after the budget," he said. Meanwhile, India is expected to report 8-8.5 per cent GDP growth and estimated to grow by 9.2 percent in real terms in 2021-22, said the Economic Survey 2022 tabled in the Parliament on Monday.
