Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will hold consultations with different stakeholder groups on Saturday in two sessions. She will be chairing pre-budget consultations during the meetings. The meetings will be held virtually.
The first meeting is expected to take place at 1 pm, where the finance minister be holding consultations with representatives of services sector including stakeholders from health, education, rural development and water and sanitation sectors.

In the second meeting that is expected at 3 pm, she will be holding consultations with trade unions and labour organisations.
The countdown for the Union Budget 2022 has begun and the Budget speech will be delivered by FM Sitharaman.
She has been meeting stakeholders on this regards.
On Thursday, India Inc pitched for continuation of reforms while ensuring tax and policy stability in the forthcoming Budget to prop up the economy hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, PTI reported.
In the virtual pre-budget consultation held with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, industry chambers said that government measures will help firmly entrench the nascent signs of recovery being currently seen in private investment, this report said.
Capital expenditure by the government through enhanced infrastructure spending should in the meantime continue to support growth, CII president TV Narendran had said.
