BSE warns against fraudulent WhatsApp messages impersonating its MD and CEO Sundararaman Ramamurthy
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has on Wednesday, February 28, cautioned investors and public who may have received any fraudulent WhatsApp messages impersonating bourse's Managing Director and CEO, Sundararaman Ramamurthy.
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), BSE said, "It has come to our notice that some fake, unauthorized and fraudulent WhatsApp messages impersonating our Managing Director and CEO Mr. Sundararaman Ramamurthy are being circulated on social media."
"Mr. Sundararaman Ramamurthy does not initiate or endorse any such communication via WhatsApp or any other medium," the exchange added.
The exchange further stated, "BSE advises investors/public who have received such fraudulent messages to exercise caution and not engage or share/circulate any kind of information with such unscrupulous persons in whatsoever manner and more particularly not share any personal and or confidential information, financial or otherwise with such persons."
