BSE, NSE close on account of Eid-ul-Fitr; Commodity Market to open at 5 pm today
Indian Stock Markets BSE and NSE remained closed on Thursday on account of Eid-ul-Fitr. The markets will resume trading on Friday at usual timings. The commodities market – the Multi Commodity Index of India will resume trading in the evening at 5 pm today
Indian Stock Markets BSE and NSE remained closed on Thursday on account of Eid-ul-Fitr. The markets will resume trading on Friday at usual timings. The commodities market – the Multi Commodity Index of India will resume trading in the evening at 5 pm today.
There is no holiday in remaining month of May and June. The next holiday will be on 21 July 2021 on account of Bakra Eid.

On Wednesday, the BSE Sensex ended on at 48,690.80, going down by almost 471 points or 1 per cent. The top 5 gainers on the 30-share index were Titan, Maruti Suzuki, Power Grid, SBI and NTPC while the top losers were Indusind Bank, Hindustan Unilever, ONGC, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank. In all 23 stocks ended the day in the red while the remaining 7 were in the green at close.
BSE Sensex 50 dropped by over 0.9 per cent while the BSE Sensex Next 50 dropped by as much. BSE 100 also fell by over 0.9 per cent.
Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty ended at 14,696.50 on Wednesday, going down by over 154 points or 1 per cent. The top gainers on Wednesday were Tata Motors, Titan, Maruti Suzuki, Power Grid and Cipla while the top losers were Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Hindalco Industries, Indusind Bank and BPCL. Fifteen stocks ended positively while the remaining 35 were trading in the negative at close.
Most Nifty indices ended the day in red including Nifty Mid Cap 50, Nifty Bank, Nifty Financial Services, Nifty Metal, Nifty IT. Nifty Auto and Nifty Media ended the trading session on Wednesday in the green.
The USDINR Futures ended at 73.60 on BSE on Wednesday, gaining by almost 0.1 per cent.
