Stock exchange major BSE recorded an incredible feat of 10 crore registered investor accounts on Wednesday, March 16. The market capitalization of BSE Listed companies stood at Rs 2,56,23,505.43 crore with registered investors surpassing 10 crore to 10,01,89,235 at the end of Wednesday.

This surge is largely attributed to participation by retail investors in the last two years, especially during the lockdown.
