Stock market will remain closed on Thursday, June 29, instead of Wednesday for Eid al-Adha
Stock market holiday, Eid al-Adha holiday: Trading in the equity, derivatives, securities lending and borrowing (SLB), and currency derivative segments on bourses BSE and NSE, along with the forex market, will resume on Friday, June 30.
Stock market holiday, Eid Ul-Zuha holiday: The domestic stock exchanges, BSE and NSE, will remain closed on Thursday, June 29, on account of Bakra Eid (Eid al-Adha). Earlier, it was reported that the market would be closed on Wednesday, June 28. Trading in the equity, derivatives, securities lending and borrowing (SLB), and currency derivative segments on bourses BSE and NSE, along with the forex market, will resume on Thursday, June 30.
Will the commodity market be shut on June 29 for Bakra Eid?
MCX will be closed for the morning session on Thursday. Simply put, trading will be available from 5 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm on June 29. For the commodity derivative segment as well, trading will be unavailable in the morning and available in the evening.

In separate news, the branches of most commercial banks — public as well as private — will remain shut on June 29 for the Bakra Eid (Bakrid) holiday. Branches at some locations will also be closed for an additional day. According to the official list of bank holidays by the RBI, the majority of the public, as well as private banks, will be closed for Bakrid on June 29.
