Erasing all its early gains, the domestic equity benchmarks closed with modest cuts on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. The S&P BSE Sensex fell 68.62 points, or 0.12 per cent, to end at 57,232.06. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange shed 28.95 points, or 0.17 per cent, to 17,063.25. In the sectoral indices at the NSE, the Bank Nifty added 20.40 points, or 0.05 per cent, to end at 37,392.05.

The broader indices ended higher on Wednesday. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index rose 0.6% while the S&P BSE Small-Cap index gained 0.93%.
