Domestic benchmark indices were trading a half per cent up in the noon trade on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. At 12:43 pm, both S&P BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were almost flat. Sensex was trading 0.01% up at 49,164.23 and Nifty was trading 0.09% up at 14,651.970. Meanwhile, certain stocks were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Adani Ports: Bullish and up 9.47%. Reported that Cargo volume increased 41% YoY in March 2021 and 23% on an MoM basis. 

Manali Petroleum: Bullish and up 5.72%. The government has imposed anti-dumping duty on imports of flexible slabstock polyol originating in or exported from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, ranging between $101.8 and $235.02 per metric tonne, for five years.

GM Breweries: Bullish and up 4.74%. Published Q4FY21 results and reported a profit of Rs 45.3 crore against Rs 17.8 crore reported last year in the same quarter. Revenue grew to Rs 127.7 crore against Rs 109 crore and EBITDA went up to Rs 27.5 crore against Rs 18.8 crore. Margin stands at 21.6% in Q4FY21 against a margin of 17.25% reported in Q4FY20. 

HDFC: Up 1.19%. To buy 9.9% stakes in Kerala infrastructure Fund Management Ltd on a private placement basis. 

Mahindra Logistics: Up 1.28%. Flipkart partners with EDEL by Mahindra Logistics to accelerate the deployment of electric vehicles (EV) in its last-mile delivery.

Tata Steel: Down 0.22%. S&P has upgraded its outlook on the steel maker’s long-term ratings from B+ to BB- and maintained the outlook at stable. 

Chemical Stocks Buzzing - SRF, Navin Fluorine, Tata Chemicals, Deepak Nitrite, Aarti Industries. 

Pharma Stocks Buzzing: Lockdown-like restrictions came into effect in Maharashtra on Monday. Similar, night curfew between 10 pm to 5 am has been imposed in Delhi, as well.
