Stock Market Today News LIVE: Benchmark BSE Sensex fell for the third straight session on Tuesday in a volatile trade due to profit-taking in IT, metal and pharma stocks ahead of the RBI policy announcement on December 7. The 30-share BSE benchmark dipped 208.24 points or 0.33 per cent to settle at 62,626.36. The broader NSE Nifty ended 58.30 points or 0.31 per cent higher at 18,642.75.
Among the Sensex pack, Tata Stee, Dr Reddy, Infosys, State Bank of India, Bharti Airtel were the major laggards. Hindustan Unilever, Power Grid, UltraTech Cement and Nestle India were among the winners.

Zinc prices on Tuesday increased by Rs 2.35 to Rs 276.95 per kilogram in the futures trade, tracking a firm trend in physical markets amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by Rs 2.35 or 0.86 per cent at Rs 276.95 per kg with a business turnover of 3,301 lots.
