LIC IPO Subscription Status Day 2: The initial public offering of Life insurance corporation (LIC) that opened on Wednesday May 4, 2022, saw an overall subscription of 0.67 times. LIC IPO received bids for 10,86,91,770 shares against reserved quota of 16,20,78,067 shares at the end of Day 1, showed NSE IPO details. LIC policyholders enthusiastically participated in the bidding as policyholder category was subscribed nearly 2 times. In the retail category (Retail Individual Investors), Non-institutional Investors category and Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) category, the issue was subscribed 0.60 times, 0.27 times, 0.33 times respectively. Besides, employees' category was oversubscribed as the portion reserved for them was booked 1.17 times.
The LIC IPO will close on May 9, 2022. Interestingly, the issue period also includes bidding on Saturday, May 7. The government aims to raise Rs 20,557 crore through 3.5 per cent share sale in the public insurer. So far, Paytm, which mobilised Rs 18,300 crore last year, and Coal India with Rs 15500 crore have raised maximum amount from the secondary market.
LIC has fixed the price band at Rs 902-949 per equity share for the issue. The offer includes a reservation for eligible employees and policyholders. The retail investors and eligible employees will also get a discount of Rs 45 per equity share and policyholders will get a discount of Rs 60 per share. LIC IPO Subscription LIVE Status: The public issue of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) was fully subscribed on the second day of the opening. At 6:39 pm on Thursday, the LIC IPO issue was subscribe 1.01 times. Out of the total 16,20,78,067 availbale for subscription 16,38,88,410 share bids were received by the company. The policyholder category was subscribed 3.03 times while the employee category was subscribed 2.16 times. As for categories Retail Individual Investors (RIIs), Non institutional Investors and Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), the subscription was 0.92 times, 0.47 times and 0.40 times respectively.

LIC IPO was about to be fully subscribed on Day 2 of opening of the issue. Overall subscription stood at 97% at 5.15 pm. LIC Policyholder quota was about to see three times booking than it reserved number of shares. The employee portion was subscribed over 2 times and retail investors were also nearing its full subscription on the second day.
On Day 2 of opening of the LIC IPO, the overall subscription of India's largest IPO stood at 0.89%, while policyholders subscribed the issue 2.72 times. The retail category was filled 0.82% and employee portion saw a bidding for 1.82 times against reserved quota of shares. QIBs and NII booked the issue 34% times and 36% respectively.
LIC IPO continues to see good response on Day 2. At 12 pm, overall subscription stood at 80%, while policyholder's portion was booked nearly 2.5%, employees' category over 1.5% and retail portion was booked 0.73%

LIC IPO was subscribed 72% of its total quota as policyholders portion received bids for 2.18 times around 10.30 am on Monday. The retail category subscribed to 66% and the employee portion saw a bidding of 1.36 times against its reserved number of shares.
