UPSC aspirants who have not applied for UPSC preliminary exam should rush to avoid last minute technical glitches. Candidates can apply for UPSC preliminary exam 2021 on upsconline.nic.in.
As many as 712 vacancies in Group A and Group B posts in different government departments would be filled on the basis of the Civil Services Examination. The preliminary exam is scheduled for June 27, 2021. UPSC CS Prelims would also be considered for the preliminary examination for Indian Forest Services Examination.
The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available on the UPSC website upsconline.nic.in. Candidates have been asked to apply for these posts only in online mode and no other mode will be accepted by the UPSC.
Interested candidates are required to register online on upsconline.nic.in. Applications to remain open till March 24, 2021.
The Main Examination is likely to be held in November, 2021. The Main Examination will be held in Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Port Blair and Shimla.
Candidates wishing to withdraw their candidature can do so from March 31 to April 6.
Fee: Candidates applying (excepting Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit card.
Age limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st August, 2021, i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1989 and not later than 1st August, 2000.
