7th Pay Commission Central govt jobs: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) exam on August 7. The exam will be conducted to hire 253 Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).  

Paper 1 will be held from 10 a.m. to noon and Paper 2 will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

UPSC CAPF 2022: Selection process

Paper 1: General Ability and Intelligence will be of MCQ Type that will carry 250 Marks.  

Paper 2: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension will be Descriptive in nature and carry 200 Marks. The medium of both Papers will be set in English as well as Hindi.

UPSC CAPF 2022: Service allocation

Service Allocation will be made on the basis of position in the Merit List and the Service Preferences, which will have to be indicated by the candidates at the time of filling up the Detailed Application Form before the Physical and Medical Standards Tests and the Physical Efficiency Tests. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants.

 Along with the online, detailed Application Form (DAF) scanned documents in support of date of birth, category (viz., SC/ST/OBC {OBC Annexure (for OBC category only)}, EWS {EWS Annexure (for EWS category only)} and other requisite documents are required to be mandatorily submitted. Any delay in submission of the DAF or documents in support beyond the prescribed date will not be allowed and will lead to the cancellation of the candidature for the CAPF (ACs) Exam, 2022.  
The DAF and/or supporting documents sent through any mode other than the online mode, as may be made available by the UPSC on its website, will not be accepted.
UPSC CAPF 2022 Salary  

The salary of CAPF AC would vary from post and in the range of Rs 56,100 - INR 1,77,500. With the job of Assistant Commandant, there will be additional allowances such as DA, MA, HRA, SDA, MD, TA, etc
