TPSC JE recruitment 2022: Applications invited for 200 vacancies - Check eligibility criteria and educational qualification required

TPSC recruitment 2022: Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has notified online applications for recruitment of 200 Junior Engineers. The application process will start on November 26 and the deadline is December 26. All interested candidates will be able to apply at tpsc.tripura.gov.in.
There are a total of 200 Junior Engineer vacancies, of which, 68 are reserved for women.

Candidate must be between 18 to 40 years of age as on December 26, 2022.
TPSC JE recruitment 2022: Educational Qualification
Junior Engineer, Grade-V(A) Degree: A candidate must have at least a Degree in an appropriate branch of engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent academic qualification.
Junior Engineer, Grade-V(B), Diploma: A candidate must have a Diploma in an appropriate branch of engineering or its equivalent academic qualification from a recognized institution.
TPSC JE recruitment 2022: Recruitment Fees
Group-B Gazetted posts: Rs 350 for General Candidates and Rs 250 for ST/SC/ BPL card holders/physically handicapped candidates.
Group-C non-Gazetted Posts: Rs 200 only for General Candidates and Rs 150 for ST/SC/ BPL card holders/physically handicapped candidates.
SC/ST Candidates of other states (not recognized by the Govt of Tripura) should apply for unreserved vacancies as general candidates along with the recruitment fee prescribed for general candidates. The recruitment fee so deposited is non-refundable.
TPSC JE recruitment 2022: Selection Process
(a) The examination shall have the following three parts namely:
i) Preliminary Examination (MCQ Type) carrying 100 marks.
The Preliminary Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only for the purpose of selecting candidates for the Main Examination. The marks obtained in this examination by the candidates will not be considered for final selection. A limited number of candidates, a maximum of 5 times of total posts (category-wise) will be selected merit-wise on the basis of the result of the Preliminary Examination, subject to securing minimum qualifying marks (40% for UR & 30% for reserved category candidates). Only those candidates who will be declared qualified at the Preliminary Examination will be eligible for admission to the Main Examination.
ii) Main (written) Examination carrying 500 marks.
The minimum cut-off marks to qualify in main Examination is 40% in aggregate for UR & 30% in aggregate for Reserved Category Candidates. The selected candidates on the basis of results of the Main(Written) Examination will be allowed to appear in the Interview Cum Personality Test. iii) An Interview-cum-Personality Test carrying 50 marks.
