The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to declare the SSC Constable (General Duty) Exam 2018 result today. The SSC Constable (GD) was notified in the year 2018. As per the communication by the commission, the latest update, final result and merit list will be made available on the official website of the SSC — ssc.nic.in. So, those who have appeared in the SSC Constable (GD) Exam 2018 are advised to keep checking at the SSC's official website.

Candidates making a cut into the final merit list will recommend by SSC for appointment as Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles.

After the declaration of the SSC GD result, if a candidate is finally selected and does not receive any correspondence from the Commission or the concerned User Department within a period of one year after declaration of result, he/ she must communicate with the concerned User Department.

In cases where candidates have secured the same marks, SSC will decide the merit list following the given criteria one after another:
1] Total marks in Computer Based Examination;
2] Marks in Part-A of Computer Based Examination;
3] Marks in Part-B of Computer Based Examination;
4] Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher;
5] Alphabetical order of names (starting with first name).
