The Bihar Public Service Commission on Sunday declared the final list of its 64th edition of combined competitive exam. The commission selected as many as 1454 candidates for various posts of state administration.
Of 1454,  28 candidates have been selected for Bihar Administrative Service, 40 for Bihar Police Service, 10 for Bihar Finance Service (Commercial Tax Officer), 02 for Jail Superintendent, 8 for Sub Registrar/Joint Sub Registrar.(bpsc.bih.in), as per the list released by BPSC.
Om Prakash Gupta has topped the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 64th Combined Competitive Exam (CCE), while Vidyasagar and Anurag Anand secured the second and third position respectively.
Amarendra Kumar, joint secretary-cum examination controller of BPSC said, “Despite Covid-19 crisis and lockdown, we conducted written exam last year following safety norms. The commission put all efforts for the preparation of results during the pandemic.”
The commission had conducted interviews for 3799 shortlisted candidates from December 1, 2020 to February 10, 2021. These 1454 candidates have qualified the 64th CCE based on marks scored in the mains examination and personal interview.
The cut-off marks for the unreserved category are 446 for the written exam and 535 for the final exam while for the unreserved female category cut-off marks are 430 for the written exam and 513 for the final exam.
Over 2.95 lakh candidates had appeared for BPSC Prelims exam in 2018, whereas the Main written exam was held in 2020. The commission conducted examinations amid the pandemic last year with all necessary precautions in place.
