7th Pay Commission Latest News Today: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications for various posts at Deputy Secretary level with pay scale as per 7th CPC matrix. The last date to apply for the posts is May 3, 2021. The interested candidates can apply online by logging in to upsconline.nic.in.

Vacancy details: There is a total number of 13 vacancies. The several vacancies at the Deputy Secretary level are as follows: Deputy Secretary (Intellectual Property Rights), Deputy Secretary (Insolvency and Banking Code, 2016), Deputy Secretary (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Mission), Deputy Secretary (Environment Policy), Deputy Secretary (Food Processing), Deputy Secretary (Manufacturing Sector), Deputy Secretary (Urban Water Management), Deputy Secretary (Mining Legislation and Policy), Deputy Secretary (Sagarmala and PPP), Deputy Secretary (Electricity Distribution), Deputy Secretary (Rural Livelihood), Deputy Secretary (Information Technologies) and Deputy Secretary (Iron/ Steel Industry).

7th Pay Commission pay: The pay scale for the posts is according to level-12 in the Pay Matrix, as per 7th CPC Pay scales. The gross salary per month would be Rs. 1,19,000 (Approx.) including Basic Pay, HRA, DA and TA.

Age limit: The interested eligible candidates must note that the age of the applicant must not be below 32 years and not exceeding 40 years as on closing date of receipt of application.

Tenure: The interested candidates must note that this is a contract-based appointment. The period of the contract is for three years which can be extended up to five years depending on the performance.
