Western Railways introduces 34 summer special trains for confirmed berths

Railways summer special trains: In anticipation of the summer holiday rush, Western Railways has announced the operation of 34 special trains to ensure travelers can secure confirmed berths during their journeys. The move aims to alleviate overcrowding on regular train services and enhance passenger convenience. These special trains will be operated at special fares to accommodate the travel demand and facilitate hassle-free journeys for passengers.

Train Details

Train No. 08472/08471 Udhna-Puri (Bi-Weekly) Special (34 trips)

• Udhna-Puri Weekly Special (Train No. 08472): Departing from Udhna at 17:00 hrs every Tuesday and Friday, this train will reach Puri at 22:45 hrs the following day. Service operational from April 26, 2024, to June 28, 2024.
• Puri-Udhna Weekly Special (Train No. 08471): Departing from Puri at 06:30 hrs every Monday and Thursday, the train will reach Udhna at 14:00 hrs the next day. Operational from April 25, 2024, to June 27, 2024.

Route and Stops

The train will halt at Vyara, Nandurbar, Amalner, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda Road, Sambalpur City, Rairakhol, Angul, Talcher Road, Dhenkanal, Bhubaneswar, and Khurda Road stations. The service will comprise AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper class, and general second-class coaches.
