According to Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is expected to be launched in early 2024.

"Concept train - Vande Bharat (sleeper version). Coming soon… early 2024," Vaishnaw said while sharing four images of the interiors of the coach that will be part of the Vande Bharat sleeper train.

The images shared by the Union Minister clearly show that the coaches of the Vande Bharat sleeper train are being designed keeping in mind the comfort of passengers. 

Vande Bharat sleeper train is expected to provide better comfort and lighting than other long-distance trains.

According to sources, the new design of Vande Bharat sleeper coaches will be manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory(ICF) and Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML).

“The first Vande Bharat train, with newly designed sleeper coaches, will be rolled out by February 2024,” a source was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: Routes and Ticket Price

As of now, there is no official confirmation about on which routes sleeper versions of Vande Bharat trains will run. Also, there are no details related to the ticket fare of these trains. However, it is obvious that the prices will be higher than other trains as Vande Bharat trains are known to offer better service and safety features. 

The Vande Bharat sleeper trains will be a significant addition to the Indian Railways fleet, as they will allow passengers to travel long distances on these high-speed trains overnight.

The first Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 15, 2019. The first train was between New Delhi and Varanasi.
