Vande Bharat Express Mumbai-Ahmedabad News: In a bid to prevent cattle run-over incidents, Indian Railways has decided to erect metal barriers along the 620-km-long route of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express train.
The decision comes after multiple cattle hit incidents involving the prestigious Mumbai to Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Express train, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 30 last year, made headlines.
The Western Railway (WR) has commenced work of erecting metal barriers along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad trunk route.
Sumit Thakur, the chief spokesperson of WR, told PTI that the work of erecting metal beam fencing on the busy route has commenced on the Ankleshwar-Bharuch section under the Vadodara division and it is going on in full swing.
