Delhi To Chandigarh Vande Bharat Express: Good news for passengers travelling between Delhi and Chandigarh! The semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express is on the tracks. The train will cut the travel time between the two Union Territories to 3 hours. The train's commercial run on the Delhi to Una route has begun from today.

The train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Himachal Pradesh visit on October 13.

Vande Bharat Express will depart from New Delhi Railway Station at 5:50 AM and reach Chandigarh at 8:40 AM. On its return journey, the train will depart from Chandigarh at 3:25 PM and arrive at New Delhi at 6:25 PM.  

This is the fourth Vande Bharat Express. The three others are: New Delhi to Varanasi Vande Bharat Express; New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express and Gandhinagar-Ahmedabad to Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express.

Compared to the earlier Vande Bharat trains, the fourth is a more advanced since it is lighter and has a faster top speed. The train has the capacity to reach 100 km/h in just 52 seconds.

The new Vande Bharat train, according to Indian Railways, have improved amenities including reclining seats, automated fire sensors, CCTV cameras, on-demand content with internet, three-hour battery backup, and GPS systems to make travel safer and more comfortable.

The roof-mounted package unit (RMPU) also features an ultraviolet photocatalytic air purification device for purifying the air. The Vande Bharat Express is a modern train that is revolutionising passenger travel in India.

The most recent Una Delhi Vande Bharat Express train will run between Ambala, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib, and Una six days a week, excluding Wednesdays.

The Amb Andaura Railway Station in Himachal Pradesh's Una district is where the train's starting point lies. It connects New Delhi Railway Station with Amb Andaura Railway Station.
