Vande Bharat Express Chennai to Coimbatore: PM Modi to flag-off train on April 8

Vande Bharat Express Chennai to Coimbatore train: Southern Railway is all set to get another Vande Bharat Express Train soon. According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to flag-off Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express from the Chennai Station on April 8. 

As per the IANS report,  the Prime Minister will visit Chennai on April 8 to inaugurate various railway projects, including the Chennai-Kovai Vande Bharat Express.

This is going to be the second Vande Bharat Express from Chennai. Earlier, Mysuru – Puratchi Thalaivar Dr MGR Chennai Central Vande Bharat Express was inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

Vande Bharat Express Train Jaipur to Delhi

Earlier this month, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed that a new Vande Bharat Express train will be introduced on the Delhi-Jaipur route soon.

This will make traveling to Delhi easier and time-saving. At present, a Shatabdi train takes 4 hours 45 minutes to reach Delhi whereas the Vande Bharat train will reach in just 1 hour 45 minutes.

Vaishnaw said, “Two initiatives to be taken in this route. First increasing speed on this route by making certain changes in the track, like installation of a double distant signalling system and removing some curves. After these initiatives, we will able to run trains on 130 KMPH to 160 KMPH.”

“Secondly, a special pantograph (an apparatus mounted on the roof of an electric train to collect power through contact with an overhead line) has also got prepared and the new train would arrive in Jaipur on March 24,” he added.
