According to officials, Hussain Ali was found checking tickets on train number 05676 (Dimapur-Agartala passenger train). RPF personnel Ajit Kumar Sarkar and Anjan Paul, who were on escort duty, observed Ali's actions and grew suspicious. Upon questioning, Ali claimed to be a newly appointed ticket checker but failed to provide an identification card or authorization letter. After cross-referencing with the official ticket checker master roll, the RPF confirmed that Ali was unauthorized. He was subsequently detained and sent to jail.

In a similar incident, senior ticket checker Subrajit Paul, working on train number 05675 on the same route, noticed irregularities in the behavior of Kaushik Sarkar, another individual posing as a ticket examiner. When asked to present his credentials, Sarkar was unable to produce any legitimate documents, prompting Paul to hand him over to the Government Railway Police (GRP). The GRP registered a case against Sarkar and detained him.

Both suspects are now in custody, and investigations are ongoing to determine if they were involved in similar activities on other routes.
