Trains Cancelled Today, January 08 2023: Indian Railways cancelled 260 trains on Sunday, January 08 due to fog, poor visibility, and other reasons. This includes New Delhi to Howrah Junction (00470 NDLS-HWH PEXP SPL), Kanpur Central to Fatehpur (04130 CNB-FTP MEMU) and Meerut City to Ghaziabad (04148 MTC-GZB SPL).
Apart from this, several other trains were running late or slow due to foggy and poor visibility conditions in other parts of the country.
The Railways also diverted 20 trains on Sunday. Additionally, 46 trains have been rescheduled by the national transporter including Lucknow to Prayagraj Sangam (04256 LKO-PYG SPL).

To check the status of the train, passengers need to visit the official website of the National Train Enquiry System at enquiry - indianrail.gov.in/mntes/.
Now search for the option of "Exceptional Trains" available on the right side of the homepage - click on it. Click on 'Train Exception Info'. Enter the Train Number. Now, you can easily check the exceptional details of a train.
Here is how you may apply for the ticket refund?
Passengers having online tickets will get full refunds in the source account while those having counter tickets will have to visit the reservation centre to claim the refund.
