Temporary Suspension of Platform Ticket Sales at Major Mumbai Western Railway Stations to Manage Festive Rush
Western Railway restricts platform ticket sales at major Mumbai stations to manage crowds and ensure smooth passenger movement during the festive season.
To prepare for a busy festive season, Western Railway zone, part of Indian Railways, is temporarily limiting platform ticket sales at major stations in the Mumbai Division. This move aims to reduce crowding and ensure easier movement for passengers within the stations.
The restriction of Sale of Platform Ticket is Effective Immediately untill 8th November 2024 during Diwali Festival & Chhath Puja.
Platform ticket sales are restricted at the following stations:
* Mumbai Central
* Dadar
* Bandra Terminus
* Borivali
* Vasai Road
* Vapi
* Valsad
* Udhna
* Surat
Exemptions:
Senior Citizens and those with medical needs are exempted from these restrictions to ensure ease of travel.
Passengers are requested to plan accordingly and adhere to the new regulations for a smooth and safe travel experience during the festive period.
