Satish Kumar to be next Railway Board Chairman & CEO
Satish Kumar has been appointed Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board with effect from September 1, according to an official statement.
Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) Member Satish Kumar is set to become the next Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), a high-level government body responsible for filling senior bureaucratic and key administrative positions in the Government of India, has cleared his appointment, according to an official notification.
Kumar's appointment as the Railway Board chairman and CEO will be effective from September 1, 2024, according to the Ministry of Railways.
Currently, Kumar is Member-Traction and Rolling Stock of the IRMS, which governs and manages the operations of the Indian Railways.
