Prime Minister Narendra Modi to flag off Kerala's first Vande Bharat Express train on Tuesday
The Kasaragod–Thiruvananthapuram Central Vande Bharat Express will have its stoppages at Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Shoranur Junction, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod, and will cover 11 districts in Kerala. It will cover the distance of 588 km between Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram Central in 8 hours and 05 minutes.
Kerala's First Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the much-awaited Kerala's first Vande Bharat Express on 25 April. The train will ply the Thiruvananthapuram-Kasargod route and will cover as many as 11 districts of Kerala. After the launch on Tuesday, the train will become the 16th Vande Bharat Express train in India. The Kasaragod–Thiruvananthapuram Central Vande Bharat Express will have its stoppages at Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Shoranur Junction, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod.
The first Vande Bharat Express in Kerala will be known as Train No. 20633/20634 Kasaragod–Thiruvananthapuram Central–Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express. The details of the train are given below:
Train No. 20633 Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram Central–Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express (Except Thursdays) will depart from Kasaragod at 14.30 hrs on 26th April, 2023 and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 22.35 hrs the same day.
On its return journey, Train No. 20634 Thiruvananthapuram Central-Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express (Except Thursdays) will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 05.20 hrs on 28t April, 2023, and will reach Kasaragod at 13.25 hrs the same day.
The newest Vande Bharat Express cover the distance of 588 km between Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram Central in 8 hours and 05 minutes.
This will be faster than the Rajdhani Express, which takes around 10 hours and 45 minutes to cover the same distance.
Fare of Kasaragod – Thiruvananthapuram Central–Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express:
The fare between Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram Central for the Vande Bharat Express (Train No 20633) will be Rs 1,520.
It also includes Rs 308 as catering charges.
For the Executive Class, the fare is Rs 2,815, which includes Rs 369 as catering charges.
Food charges can be excluded from the fare as food choice is optional.
One can choose ‘No Food Option’ while booking the seat. Catering charge will not be added in that case.
The fare from Thiruvananthapuram Central to Kasaragod for Train No- 20634 Vande Bharat Express is slightly more at Rs 1,590 in Chair Car, including Rs 379 as catering charges.
For the executive class, it Rs 2,880 including Rs 434 as catering charge.
