Ahmedabad Mumbai New Vande Bharat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a new Vande Bharat Express train today, capable of reaching up to 160 km/hour. PM Modi virtual flags off the orange colour Vande Bharat Express alongside nearly 10 other Vande Bharat trains across the country. Currently, Western Railways' five Vande Bharat Express trains are running between Gandhinagar Capital-Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad (Sabarmati)-Jodhpur, Ahmedabad-Jamnagar, Indore-Bhopal-Nagpur and Udaipur-Jaipur (stop at Chittorgarh).
Vande Bharat Train Schedule (Vande Bharat Train Schedule, Timing)
Regular operation of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Superfast Express will start today (March 13). This train will run six days a week except Sunday. Train No. 22962 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Superfast Express will depart from Ahmedabad at 06:10 hrs and reach Mumbai Central at 11:35 hrs. The train will make stops at Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, and Borivali before reaching Mumbai Central at 11.35 a.m.
The train will have 16 coaches and is designed to make travel between these major cities faster and more comfortable. It will halt at key stations, including Borivali, Vapi, Surat, and Vadodara.
In return, train number 22961 Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Superfast Express will depart from Mumbai Central at 15:55 hrs and reach Ahmedabad at 21:25 hrs. This train will stop at Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, and Borivali stations in both directions.
The decision to introduce another Vande Bharat Express on this route was influenced by the high demand of the existing Gandhinagar-Mumbai service. The average daily ridership exceeded capacity, prompting the need for additional services to accommodate the growing number of passengers. The Prime Minister is also expected to announce the extension of the Ahmedabad to Jamnagar Vande Bharat Express to Okha and launch a new weekly express train connecting Bhuj to Delhi Sarai Rohilla.
Vande Bharat train extended till Okha
Train No. 22925/22926 Ahmedabad-Jamnagar Vande Bharat Superfast Express is being extended up to the Okha station. Train No. 22925 Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat Superfast Express will depart from Ahmedabad at 18:10 hrs every day except Tuesday and reach Okha at 00:40 hrs the next day.

In the return direction, train number 22926 Okha-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Superfast Express will depart from Okha at 03:40 hrs every day except Wednesday and will reach Ahmedabad at 10:10 hrs on the same day. This train will stop at Sabarmati, Sanand, Viramgam, Surendranagar, Wankaner, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Dwarka stations in both directions. This train will have AC chair car and executive chair car coaches.
