Vande Metro Train: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to present a significant gift to his home state of Gujarat a day before his birthday (September 17). On September 16, PM Modi will inaugurate the country’s first Vande Metro Train. The train has successfully completed its trial run, and its initial route has been finalized.

Following the Vande Bharat Express and Amrit Bharat Train, the Vande Metro Train is now ready to connect two cities located at a short distance. The first Vande Metro Train will operate between Ahmedabad and Bhuj in Kutch, Gujarat. The trial run on this route has been completed successfully, and PM Modi will officially flag off the train on September 16.

Special features for passengers

The Vande Metro Train will travel at speeds ranging from 100 to 200 kilometers per hour. It will feature a 3 x 3 bench-type seating arrangement, designed to offer a comfortable journey for as many passengers as possible. Additionally, the coaches will be equipped with wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities for the convenience of disabled passengers.

For safety, the Vande Metro Train coaches will include a talk-back system, allowing passengers to communicate with the train driver in case of an emergency. Each coach is also fitted with a fire and smoke detection system, equipped with 14 sensors to detect any smoke immediately.
