Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express to be launched soon: Check timings, ticket prices, stoppages and route details
The Bengaluru- Hubballi-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express will be the second semi-high-speed train for Karnataka. Prime Minister Modi will flag off the express via video conferencing on June 27.
The Bengaluru-Hubballi-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express is all going to be launched soon, after the successful trial run on June 19. This would be Karnataka’s second Vande Bharat Express train. The first one runs on the Mysuru-Chennai route, which was also the first semi-high-speed train for the Southern region.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the Bengaluru-Hubbali-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express train, along with four other Vande Bharat trains through video conferencing on June 27. In a first, the Indian Railways is going to launch five Vande Bharat Express trains simultaneously.
PM Modi will flag off the Mumbai-Goa, Bengaluru-Dharwad, Patna-Ranchi, Bhopal-Indore, and Bhopal-Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express trains.
The Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express train has eight coaches. The semi-high-speed train will operate six days a week, except Tuesday.
Duration of the Journey
The semi-high-speed express train will cover 490 kilometres from Bengaluru to the twin-town of Hubbali-Dharwad in 6 hours and 13 minutes. It will cover the journey at an average speed of 78.82 kmph. Earlier, the journey from Bengaluru to Dharwad was roughly 7 hours. Vande Bharat Express will leave from Bengaluru at 5:45 am and reach Dharwad Railway Station at 11:58 am.
Halts in the Journey
On its journey from Bengaluru to Dharwad, the train will stop at Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Junction, which is also known as SSS Hubballi Junction.
In between, the train will have scheduled halts at Yeshwantpur, Davanagere, and Hubballi. The train will be reaching Devanagere by 9:24 am and will proceed on its journey towards its destination, Dharwad, at 9:28 am.
Ticket fare
Reportedly, the Bangaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express train ticket will be priced at around Rs 1205 for a single journey in AC chair car class and Rs 2395 for executive chair car. The ticket fares include the catering charges as well.
