The Vande Bharat Express train from Bhopal to Indore is all set to be launched on June 27. This would be the third Vande Bharat for Madhya Pradesh. Last week, the West Central Railway successfully conducted the trial run of the Vande Bharat Express from Rani Kamalapati Junction to Jabalpur.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be flagging off the train at the inaugural ceremony. PM Modi will be inaugurating four more Vande Bharat Express on June 27. This is a part of the 75 semi-high-speed express trains targeted to be launched by August 15, 2023.

Vande Bharat Express Bhopal-Indore Schedule

The Vande Bharat will start its journey from Indore at 6:30 am and reach Ujjain by 7:15 am. The Express will then depart from Ujjain for Bhopal by 7:20 am and arrive at 9:35 am.

Likewise, the Express will depart from Rani Kamalapati Junction (Bhopal) at 7:25 pm to reach Ujjain at 9:30 pm. It will depart from Ujjain at 9:35 pm and reach Indore by 10:30 pm.

Duration and Distance of the Vande Bharat Bhopal-Indore Train

The semi-high-speed train is expected to complete the journey of 218 kilometres in less than three hours. At present, the fastest-running trains between the two cities are the Bhopal-Dr Ambedkar Nagar Intercity Express and Rani Kamalapati-Dr Ambedkar Nagar Express. Both trains take more than three hours for one side of the journey.

Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express Ticket Fare

The Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express fare is set at Rs 950 for the AC Chair Car and Rs 1525 for the Executive Chair Car per passenger.  

Operation and Facilities

The Vande Bharat Express from Bhopal to Indore will begin its journey on June 28, after the inauguration. It will be operating six days a week, except Sundays.

The Express will provide a superior travel experience with world-class facilities. It is well equipped with reclining seats for comfort, passenger screens for infotainment, CCTV cameras for safety and security and bio-toilets for environmental concerns, among others.
