New trains for Chhath Puja: Railways to run special Rajdhani and Vande Bharat Express trains for this state
In view of increased passenger footfall during Chhath Puja, East Central Railway is running special Vande Bharat Express train and Rajdhani Express for passengers travelling to and from Bihar.
Chhath Puja Special Train: Preparations for Diwali and Chhath Puja are going on in full swing across the country. To participate in the festival, a large number of people travel towards their homes.
During Chhath Puja, it becomes even more difficult to get a seat in trains going to Bihar.
However, for the convenience of passengers, Railways is running hundreds of festive special trains.
East Central Railway said that it would run trains like Rajdhani Express and Vande Bharat Express for passengers.
Festive Special Vande Bharat Train
East Central Railway said that for the convenience of passengers during the festive season, Railways was running Vande Bharat Express special train.
Train Number 02252 will run between New Delhi and Patna on 11, 14 and 16 November.
The train will leave New Delhi at 07.25 in the morning and reach Patna at 7 in the evening.
It will pass through Kanpur Centre, Prayagraj, Buxar and Arrah on the way.
At the same time, Train Number 02251 will run between Patna and New Delhi on 12,15 and 17 November.
Arrangement of 65 lakh berths
Earlier in a press release, Railways had said that in view of Diwali and Chhath festival, arrangements for 65 lakh berths had been made in trains.
More than 150 special trains will run as many as 4,500 trips in different parts of the country.
Starting from mid-October till December 15, these special trains will run between major cities of the country including those of Bihar.
Only special trains related to Bihar will run around 2,000 trains.
Apart from Vande Bharat and AC Superfast Special trains, Jansadharan special trains are also going to be run for normal passengers.
Most trains will run on these routes
Most of the special trains are being run by Railways from Anand Vihar Terminal Delhi.
Special trains are being run from this station to Muzaffarpur, Patna, Darbhanga, Gaya, Jaynagar, Danapur, Raxaul and Saharsa.
Virendra Kumar, CPRO of East Central Railway, said, "Preparations have been made on a large scale for the passengers returning from other states and metros on the occasion of Chhath. Helpline desks are being opened at stations for crowd management. Special preparations have been made at the stations regarding facilities. Puja special train will be run for one and a half months."
