Harbour Line Services in Mumbai were serverly affected on Monday (April 29, 2024) after a local train's coach derailed around noon while entering Platform No. 2 at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Central Railway officials said. A Railways official said that there was no report of injuries to passengers in the affected compartment.

A trolley from one of the coaches of a CSMT-bound local train from Panvel derailed as it pulled into platform number 2 around 11.35 am, as per the official.

The derailment of the coach, however, disrupted local train services on the Harbour Line, and as a result, CSMT-bound trains were terminated at Masjid station, the official said.

The Harbour Line services will be operational from and to Wadala station, the official said. He added that the restoration work is underway and trains on the Main Line will remain unaffected.
