Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2022, Kashi Tamil Sangamam Train Route, Kashi Tamil Sangamam Official Website: The first train carrying the delegates of Kashi-Tamil Sangamam - a month-long celebration of heritage, knowledge & culture, aimed at strengthening the age-old bond between Kashi (Varanasi) and Tamil Nadu - has been flagged off. The train carrying 205 delegates was flagged off by Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan, along with Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi from Chennai Egmore railway station on Thursday.

Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2022 Delegates

The first batch comprises students and delegates from IIT Madras. Being promoted by the central government as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the November 17 - December 16 programme celebrates the spirit of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' and highlights the Tamil language and culture. It will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 19.

Of the delegates in the first contingent to Kashi Tamil Sangamam, 34 boarded the train in Rameswaram, 94 in Tiruchirappalli and 77 others joined at the Dr M G R Chennai Egmore railway station.

Schedule of Visits in Ayodhya and Prayag

Day 3:

(A) Proceed for Prayagraj by Bus (7.30.AM)
(B) Sangam, Prayagraj visit (11.00AM-2.30 PM)
(C) Proceed for Ayodhya. Stay at Ayodhya.

Day 4:

(A) Ayodhya Visit (7.30AM -11AM)
(B) Proceed for Varanasi.
(C) Proceed for Tamil Nadu according to programme schedule

The programme aims to provide an opportunity for people from all walks of life including scholars, students, philosophers, traders, artisans, artists etc., from the two regions to come together, share their knowledge, culture and best practices and learn from each others' experience.

A month-long exhibition of handlooms, handicrafts, ODOP products, books, documentaries, cuisine, art forms, history, besides tourist places of the two regions will also be put up in Kashi.
