In the third incidence in a month and the second in a week, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation's (IRCTC) online ticketing platform experienced an outage on Tuesday morning.

Passengers trying to access the platform were met with errors stating, "Booking and cancellation for all sites will not be available for the next hour. The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted."

When most users attempted to use the platform, they were met with a "downtime message". The interruption caused enormous disturbance, and users took to X to vent their outrage.

“Booking and Cancellation for All site will not be available for next hour. Inconvenience caused is deeply regretted. FOR CANCELLATION/FILE TDR, PLEASE CALL AT CUSTOMER CARE NO. 14646,08044647999 & 08035734999 OR MAIL. AT eticketshirete.co.in,” read the prompt on the IRCTC portal.
