UP Railway Station Name Change: Northern Railways on Friday, October 6, 2023, changed the names of three railway stations in the Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. All three new names are based on major religious places.
Northern Railway on Friday issued a notification in this regard, informing that Pratapgarh Junction will now be known as Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh Junction.
Similarly, the name of the Antu station has now been changed to Maa Chandrika Devi Dham Antu, and Bishnathganj will now be known as Shanidev Dham Bishnathganj.
In April this year, the Ministry of Science and Technology had given the order to Northern Railway to change the names of these three stations. It took some time for Northern Railway to change them, but it made changes to the codes and sent them to the Home Ministry last month. After getting the approval of the Home Ministry, Northern Railway issued the notification on Friday.

According to the Railway notification, Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh Junction's code will be MBDP. Maa Chandrika Devi Dham Antu's code is MCDA, while Shanidev Dham Bishnathganj's code is SBTJ.
