For a long time, people have been eagerly waiting for the sleeper version of Vande Bharat trains. And it looks like the wait is almost over. The new sleeper train is all set to run on the tracks soon. BJP MP PC Mohan and the Railway Ministry shared some new updates on this.

Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: Launch date and details

India's first Vande Bharat sleeper train is expected to start running by December. The first set of sleeper coaches will be dispatched from the Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) plant in Bengaluru to the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai on September 20, where it will undergo trials and commissioning. This process will take a few days, with the train likely to be operational by December.

Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: BJP MP shares the update

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Bengaluru Central, PC Mohan, shared on social media that India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is set to leave the BEML plant by September 20 and is expected to be in service by December.

Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: Special features for passengers

Until now, Vande Bharat trains have only offered seating arrangements. However, with the introduction of the sleeper version, passengers will be able to undertake long journeys comfortably. The new Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will feature 16 coaches with a total of 823 berths, offering 3AC, 2AC, and 1AC accommodations.
