Dhanbad Train Accident Today News, Gurpa Train Accident Update Latest News: After 65 hours of disruption, the rail traffic on the Howrah-Delhi railway route was restored late on Friday night. Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express was the first train that passed from the Gurpa railway station -- the site of the train accident. All the trains running on the route will run as per the original schedule.

The trains including premium trains like Howrah Rajdhani, Sealdah Rajdhani and several other Express, Mail were diverted or cancelled due to the train accident. All trains on the Dhanbad Gaya rail route were diverted/cancelled/short-terminated due to the accident near the Gurpa railway accident.

Puri New Delhi Purushotam Express, Howrah New Delhi Poorva Express, Ranchi-Sasaram-Ara Express, Asansol Bhavnagar Parasnath Express, Dhanbad Dehri Intercity Express, Kolkata Jammu Tawi Mail, Howrah Mumbai Mail, Howrah Gwalior Chambal Express, Bikaner Howrah Express were among nearly 58 trains that were diverted.

Purushotam Express, Poorva Express, Kolkata Jammu Tawi Mail, Howrah Mumbai Mail, Chambal Express, Shipra Express, Dhanbad Dehri Intercity, Dhanbad Ferozpur Ganga Sutlej Express, GAYA-KIUL PASSENGER SPL, Pune - Jasidih Weekly Express, GAYA-PNBE MEMU, Varanasi Asansol MEMU, Gaya Howrah Express, Gaya Dehri MEMU, Patna Ranchi Janshatabdi, Hatia-Purnia Court, Gaya New Delhi Mahabodhi Super Fast Express, Ajmer - Sealdah SF Express, Patna Santragachi Chhath Special, Amritsar Tata Nagar JALINWALABAG EXPRESS, Kolkata Amritsar DURGYIANA EXPRESS via Sasaram Junction and others will run as per their original schedule.

The train will depart from Dhanbad railway station at 5:40 AM and reach Ranchi railway station at 9:40 AM via Bokaro Steel City railway station and Muri Junction railway station. Dhanbad to Ranchi distance is 164 KM. On its return journey, Ranchi Dhanbad Intercity Express will depart from Ranchi railway station at 7:05 PM and reach Dhanbad railway station at 11:10 PM.

Earlier o Wednesday, at least 53 wagons of a coal-laden goods train derailed near Gurpa railway station in Gaya district of Bihar. This disrupted the rail traffic on Dhanbad Gaya route. The accident took place between Koderma and Manpur railway stations of the Dhanbad division.

94 Trains Cancelled Today, October 29

Indian Railways has cancelled, rescheduled and diverted several trains on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Passengers are suggested to check the status of their trains before embarking on the train journey. As many as 94 trains have been fully cancelled due to several reasons. Besides, Indian Railways has also source-changed 10 trains and shortly terminated 11 trains. A total of 19 trains have been rescheduled including Patna to Howrah Janshatabdhi and Patna to Ranchi Janshatabdhi.
