Chhath Puja Special Trains: Indian Railways to run 283 trains; know routes and other details

Chhath Puja Special Trains 2023: The festive season has already started. To provide a better travelling experience to people this festive season, Indian Railway is running 4,480 trips of 283 special trains till Chhath Puja this year.
In addition to this, crowd control measures such as line formation at terminus stations under the supervision of RPF officers are in place to ensure the orderly admission of passengers in unreserved coaches.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Railways, these special trains are planned to connect major destinations throughout the country on railway routes like Danapur-Saharsa, Okha-Naharlagun, Muzaffarpur-Yesvantpur, Howrah-Raxaul, Sealdah-New Jalpaiguri, Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Kochuveli-Bengaluru, Danapur- Bengaluru, Puri-Patna, Benaras- Mumbai, Ambala-Saharsa, among others.
"A watch on any malpractice is being strictly monitored by the Security and Vigilance Department staff. Instructions, for maintaining cleanliness at waiting halls, retiring rooms, platforms in particular, and at stations in general, have been given by Zonal Headquarters," the Ministry of Railways further stated.
Chhath Puja Special Trains: List
03255/03256 Patna Jn – Anand Vihar Terminal – Patna Jn
Every Thursday and Sunday at 22:20 hours, train 03255 will depart from Patna Jn and arrive at Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi at 15.00 hours the following day.
The 03256 train will depart Anand Vihar Terminal at 11.30 pm every Monday and Friday, returning to Patna Jn at 05:20 pm the following day.
02391/02392 Patna Jn – Anand Vihar Terminal – Patna Jn
Every Saturday at 10.20 am, the 02391 train will depart from Patna Jn and arrive at Anand Vihar Terminal at 3.00 pm the following day.
Train number 02392 Anand Vihar Terminal - Patna Jn Superfast Special will return at 11.30 pm every Sunday and arrive at Patna Jn at 5.20 pm the following day. The train will operate from November 26 to December 10, 2023.
03635/03636 Gaya-Anand Vihar Terminal-Gaya
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 2.15 pm, this 03635 train departs Gaya and arrives at Anand Vihar Terminal at 05:00 am the following day. The train will operate from November 20 to December 8.
The train (03636) will depart Anand Vihar Terminal at 07:00 am every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, arriving in Gaya at 08:45 pm the following day.
05557/05558 Jaynagar-Anand Vihar Terminal-Jaynagar
The 05557 train will leave Jaynagar at 6 am every Tuesday and arrive at Anand Vihar Terminal at 5.00 am the following day. From November 21 to December 5, the train will depart.
The train (05558) will leave Anand Vihar Terminal at 07:30 am every Wednesday and arrive in Jayanagar at 06:30 am the following day.
