Bullet Train India: Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announces when and where it will start running
Ashwini Vaishnaw said that India's first bullet train will be on track in 2026. The Minister mentioned Cetre is working on the 508-km-long Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR project, which is expected to be flagged off in 2026. The Railway Minister also shared a video of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad 'Bullet Train' corridor. With the commencement of this corridor, the time taken to cover the distance of 508 kilometres between the two cities will be reduced to just 2 hours.
