An ANI report stated that while briefing media persons, VK Tripathi, General Manager (GM), NCR said, "This year NCR has achieved the best ever loading done in the first quarter of any financial year. During April-June 2021-22, the originating loading has been 4.32 MT as compared to 3.24 MT in the corresponding period of last year thereby an increase of 33.3 per cent over last year."
Tripathi further added that the originating goods earning during the April-June period for 2021-22 has been Rs 437.57 crore compared to Rs 352.33 crore last year. The increase has been of 24.19 per cent. In addition to this, there has been a significant increase in loading of containers, cement, POL and fly ash.
The NCR GM echoed the tune of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's focus on 'Jaan Bhi, Jahaan Bhi' which is committed for contributing towards the growth of the nation's economy and serving passengers to their satisfaction.
Recently, the Western Railway has also achieved a significant landmark. There has been a significant increase in the revenue of Western Railways and it has crossed Rs 3000 crore. This increase has been 63 per cent more as compared to the corresponding period last year. The Western Railways has tweeted about this achievement from its official Twitter handle. The tweet said, "Western Railway achieves significant increase in its revenue, crosses Rs 3000 Crore. The revenue has been more than 63 percent as compared to corresponding period of last year."

The press release from the Western Railway stated that in the financial year, 2021-22, it has recorded revenue of Rs 3106 crore. This total revenue includes goods revenue of Rs 2527 crore and passenger revenue of Rs 378 crore. The revenue received through other coaching is Rs 104 crore and sundry revenue of Rs 97 crore. It has to be noted that the revenue has been 63 per cent more than last year's revenue in the corresponding period.
Coming back to NCR, Tripathi informed that the zonal railway is gradually restoring the train services in close consultation with the Railway Board. The ANI report stated that about 86 per cent of mail express trains have been resumed and unreserved passenger trains are now being resumed gradually. In addition to this, six pairs of holiday/ summer specials are also running to clear the rush of passengers.
Tripathi said, "We have achieved the best ever punctuality performance of mail/express trains with 93.12 per cent in the first quarter of the financial year 2021-22."
