Indian Railways is all set to take its passengers on another spiritual journey and welcome pilgrims on a new adventure by running the Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train from the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR).
This train was started for the first time on 18 May 2024. The first tour started for eight Nights and nine days which commenced its journey on 18 May 2024 and concluded on 26 May 2024.
The program is aimed at covering important tourist destinations in Northern India like Mata Vaishno Devi, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Mathura, Vrindavan, and Ayodhya.
Bharat Gaurav Train: Routes
The special Bharat Gaurav Train will depart from New Jalpaiguri, West Bengal.
The special tourist train will visit four significant Hindu holy sites, beginning with the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir's Katra and ending at the newly constructed majestic Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
Keeping the interest of the pilgrims in mind, the railways have included Ram Lalla's Darshan in the new package that will start from today, June 24, 2024. The special Bharat Gaurav Train, which departed New Jalpaiguri Junction at 10 a.m. today, will arrive at Patna Junction about 11:30 p.m. tomorrow before continuing to Katra Railway Station in Jammu & Kashmir on June 26. Bharat Gaurav Train: Full schedule
The new route for the Bharat Gaurav Train (00980) will be starting from New Jalpaiguri for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Haridwar, Mathura, and Ayodhya for Uttar Bharat with Ramlala Darshan from June 24, 2024, to July 2, 2024, as the North Frontier Railway mentioned in a post on X.
The train will consist of 14 coaches that include an AC Buffet car, AC three-tier sleeper, 3-tier sleeper, luggage cum generator car and brake.
