Union Cabinet clears Pesticide Management Bill

Union Cabinet on February 12 cleared the Major Ports Authority Bill. The Bill will replace 1963 law governing the country's 12 major ports. The legislation will be introduced in the second part of the Budget session of Parliament. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, the proposed law is aimed at enhancing the overall efficiencies of the ports.
