So far 7 cases of HMPV have been reported in India. Out of these, 2 cases were reported from Karnataka. It is reported that both the children have been discharged from the hospital. HMPV virus has been found in two cases in Tamil Nadu, two cases in Nagpur, Maharashtra and a 2-month-old child in Ahmedabad. How these children came in contact with the HMPV virus is still being ascertained.
