Plastic bag ban in Maharashtra: India is staring at a loss of Rs 15,000 crore and 3 lakh jobs, averred the Plastic Bags Manufacturers Association of India. Continuing its crackdown, the civic administration asserted that first-time plastic ban violators among the public will not be spared the hefty Rs 5,000 fine which doubles and more than trebles for the second and third offences.
