Onion Price: Government takes measures to control rising onion prices
The government has taken several measures to control the rising prices of onion, including increasing the buffer stock, releasing it at a subsidised rate, and imposing an export duty. The National Cooperative Consumers' Federation of India Limited (NCCF) has started selling onions at a subsidised rate of Rs 25 per kg in Delhi from today. The retail sales of onion will be suitably increased in the coming days by involving other agencies and e-commerce platforms.
