Insurance coverage still low in rural areas, finds NABARD survey

NABARD's first All India Rural Financial Inclusion Survey report (2015-16) has revealed that insurance coverage is still low in the rural areas. The first ever such survey by NABARD has found that only one-fourth of agricultural households and non-agricultural households have been covered under any insurance.
