India's Chandrayaan-3 Mission Moving Closer to Moon, Another Orbit Reduction Successful

The whole nation is eagerly waiting to witness Chandrayaan-3 lander and rover making a soft landing on the Moon's surface. Now, the spacecraft has conducted another successful orbit reduction and is closer to the Moon's surface. The next operation to further reduce the orbit is scheduled for August 9. If this mission is conducted successfully, India will become the first country to reach the south pole of the Moon. On July 14, the nation witnessed the historic lift-off of the Chandrayaan-3 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
