Indian Railways to run 100% on electricity by 2024: Piyush Goyal

Union Railways Minister Piyush Goyal assured that 100% electrification of Indian Railways to be done by the year 2024. “By the year 2024, we expect the entire Indian Railways to be run on 100% electricity. It will be the first railway network in the world to be run on 100% electricity. By 2030, we plan to make the entire railway network a net-zero emission network,” said Railway Minister while addressing India-Brazil business forum.
